Some of the best Afghan food in the area. Great prices. Large portions. We had four different dishes. All were amazing. Sides were on point. Will definitely come back.

Oh boy, where do I start with VA Kabob House? This place hit the spot when our tummies were rumbling and we were on the hunt for something quick and reasonably priced. But here's the thing, their sign outside raves about charcoal grilling, and yet I didn't spot or sniff any charcoal. Sneaky, right? They do have a gas grill going behind the counter, and I have to give them credit, their kabobs had that tasty fire-cooked vibe. Now let's talk about the kabobs. They were hot and juicy, just the way you want 'em. But man, I wish they'd left the lamb on the grill a bit longer. I've got a pretty high tolerance for that gamey lamb smell, but even for me, it was a bit much. I reckon a little more sumac could've balanced it out. The chicken kabobs though? Lip-smacking good. But here's a tiny nitpick - the rice. I mean, I get it, carrots add a pop of color and a hint of sweetness, but it felt like the rice was having a carrot party. The sweetness was kinda overpowering. All in all, VA Kabob House is a decent spot to grab a quick bite. I mean, could it be better? Yeah, sure. But for what it's worth, it's not a bad deal.

The beef kabob AKA Shami is really overcooked here, almost burnt. I didn’t like it, when i told them about it they told me that that’s how it’s supposed to be. For $19 I’d expect more than overcooked almost burnt meat.

I recently had an amazing dining experience at VA Kabob Restaurant in Springfield, VA and I can confidently say that it deserves a solid 5-star review. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm and friendly smiles from the staff, making me feel genuinely welcomed. One of the aspects that truly stood out was the freshness of the food. Every dish I ordered was bursting with flavors and made from the highest quality ingredients. It was evident that their commitment to serving fresh food was a top priority, and it made a remarkable difference in the overall taste and dining experience. What also impressed me was how race inclusive VA Kabob Restaurant is. I witnessed people from various races and backgrounds dining together, creating an incredibly diverse and enjoyable atmosphere. It was refreshing to see such a welcoming environment where everyone could come together and enjoy a delicious meal. Lastly, I appreciate that VA Kabob Restaurant doesn't rely on fake meat substitutes. As someone who prefers real ingredients and flavors, it was a relief to find a place that emphasizes authentic cooking and doesn't compromise on taste. Overall, VA Kabob Restaurant exceeded my expectations with its fresh and flavorful food, along with its warm atmosphere. If you're looking for a dining experience that not only satisfies your taste buds but also celebrates other cultures VA Kabob Restaurant is definitely the place to go.

I have had kabobs through out the tristate but VA Kabob has one of the best kabobs and side dishes. The service is friendly and the quality and quantity of food is good. I have been going there for years and never had a bad experience. If you are looking for an authentic afghan kabobs…look no further.

I have had multiple dishes from this place and everything has been tasty. This is more of a takeout spot and the prices are decent for what you get.
